Christopher “C-Ray” Rayson was born in Dallas, Texas, and has loved art since childhood. He received a scholarship To the Art Institute of Dallas after graduating from Lancaster High School in 1995, there he received an Associate degree in Applied Arts Degree. I’ve been blessed with opportunities to do art shows, paint parties and teach kids art in summer enrichment programs. I’ve been able to do art for various celebrities and athletes.--Enroute to his ultimate career as a professional visual artist, he has been active in many fields, directly and indirectly related to the visual arts, all the while honing his craft. Even as an established artist, he still makes time to introduce people of all walks of life to the magic of visual art through his artwork in numerous private homes, night clubs, high schools and barbershops, one of his many passions. His paintings of people and other subjects emerge from a consciousness grounded in reality and convey emotion. He describes his style as a Casual Realism.
